How long is it since you had your gutters cleaned?
This is one of those jobs that people tend to put on the backburner, as it doesn’t seem important.
However, it is a really important part of home maintenance. This lead to problems such as:
- blocked gutters and drains. This leads to overflows and possible flooding of your home, either at ground level, or into the rafters and ceiling area
- rusted gutters/holes in gutters, sending water where you DON’T need it.
- if neglected long enough, it can lead to rotting timbers and eaves. Eventually, you could have issues with your roof and ceilings.
When we come out to give you a quote, we’ll look at how long since the gutters have been cleaned, and possibly suggest that you will need an initial clean. This will be an extensive clean, making sure everything is clear.
We’ll then let you know how often we think you need to have your gutters maintained, depending on whether there are overhanging trees or other things that will impact how quickly your gutters fill. Generally this is every three to four months.
